It was built by Manning Wardle of Britain in 1881. When this locomotive arrived at Japan, it was landed near Zenko temple of Kawaguchi city. Therefore it was named to "Zenko". It was the first number locomotive of Nippon railway. And it was used to the Nippon railway's construction work of between Ueno and Takasaki. After the Nippon railway was nationalized, this locomotives was changed to 1920 class. In 1958, it was registered to the railway memorial object. This locomotive have a saddle tank and a inside cylinder style. Like this appearance of locomotive is very few in Japan.
