Victorias Milling Company, Inc. (VMC) Railway

Established in 1919 during the American colonial period, this sugar mill adopted modern equipment from the beginning and operated on a large scale. Although production had declined by 1983, it still maintained a capacity of 13,200 tons per day, of which around 40% was reportedly transported by rail. The railway network extended radially from the mill, and including branch lines, is estimated to have exceeded 100 kilometers in total length. It is said that nearly 100,000 workers and contract farmers depended on this sugar mill for their livelihoods, underscoring its profound impact on the local community.
